Annie Harris Nominated as Candidate for the 2024 IWUF Wushu Taolu Rising Star Award

The 2024 International Wushu Federation (IWUF) Athlete of the Year awards have officially begun!

Annie Harris, represented by New Zealand Kungfu Wushu Federation and RED PANDA WUSHU , has been nominated for the 2024 IWUF Wushu Taolu Rising Star Award on behalf of New Zealand Wushu. Not only does Annie excel in technique, but she also displays admirable qualities in her spirit and passion for Wushu.


As a young Wushu athlete, Annie started practicing Wushu at the age of 5. She has achieved outstanding results in the New Zealand National Wushu Championships and represented New Zealand’s national Wushu team in two consecutive World Junior Wushu Championships (WJWC). Annie is not only skilled in various Taolu (routines) but also adept at combining the essence of traditional Wushu with modern techniques, showcasing remarkable artistry and competitiveness. Every performance she delivers is filled with deep understanding and boundless enthusiasm for Wushu.

What’s even more remarkable is Annie’s fighting spirit and personal character on the competition stage. She consistently demonstrates unparalleled determination and resolve, never backing down in the face of challenges. With a positive mindset and continuous effort, she constantly pushes her limits and improves herself. This spirit not only motivates her but also serves as an inspiration to many young Wushu enthusiasts.
